Yokai Skateboard

This design was straightforward, but it did cause me some unwanted trouble. The idea of using a skateboard as a weapon by itself is unorthodox, but very exciting, though the real question was how I could make this work. I started with a series of different board shapes, looking at longboards etc. and then played around with padding and grips that could be used with swinging the board. One idea was to have a spinning grip in the centre of the board, however this ruined the charming simplicity of the idea. After creating a yokai design and adding it to the base of the boards, I explored adding some extras to the end of the board to make it more weapon-like with rusted nails and a metal cap on the end.
